About This Cultural Tour

This two-day cultural and heritage tour of Xi’an allows you to delve into the city’s rich history, explore its iconic landmarks, and immerse yourself in its vibrant cultural scene. Each day offers a mix of historical sites, cultural experiences, and opportunities to savor the local flavors, ensuring a well-rounded and memorable journey through Xi’an.

Morning:
Our guide and driver will meet you at the hotel in the morning, private transfer directly to the Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses.
Our guide will be with you throughout all exhibitions of the museum, witnessing the grandeur of this world wonder created over 200 years BC. From the huge infantry force in actual battle in pit 1, to the archery, calvary, and chairots in Pit 2, and the commanding office in Pit 3, It is truely mind-blowing not only to see them, but also learning the wonderful history and cultural behind this archeological wonder.
Some of the actual bronze weapons are on display since each of these warriors once carried a real weapon to guard the Qin emperopr’s immortality. it is noteworthy that you never see any two faces look alike in this army.

We move on for a simple lunch served in very local Chinese restaurant and eat exactly what local Chinese eat. It could be locall buckwheat noodles, dumplings, or any food made from wheat, or there are many choices to make.
Afternoon:
Drive back to the downtown Xi’an. we will then come to the Ming Dynasty City Wall, being the best-preserved city fortress in China, it runs 13.7 KMs all the way around Xi’an in rectangular shape. It will be a great experience to walk on the top, or do a bike riding since this is considered one of the must-do things in Xi’an.

Drive back to the hotel.

Morning
City tour starts this morning after breakfast, we will come to the famous Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Grand CiEn Buddhist Temple, it was built in Tang dynasty by monk Tripitaka to keep Buddhist scripts brought back from his pilgrimage. it is today one of the holy sites among Buddhists.
Continue our visit to Xi’an Museum, it has a great collection of historical artifacts showing the history of China. the museum is located in a beautifully-laid out garden with the Small Wild Goose Pagoda onsite. this is a very popluar place for local people in Xi’an.
Then, we will come to the Muslim Street, this is a wonderful place to try various Xi’an local food.
The history of Muslim population in Xi’an can be traced back to Tang dynasty when the ancient Silk Road played an important role connecting China and outside world. large number of Arabs, Persians, Sogdians came to settle down in Xi’an and gradually mixed in.
We will be walking through the small alleyways to discover the life of people and savouring the different kinds of food.
Visit the ancient Great Mosque
Built some one thousand years ago. it is an architectural masterpiece and a significant religious site that deserves a visit during your time in the city. as one of the oldest and largest mosques in China, providing a glimpse into the flourishing Islamic culture and trade along the ancient Silk Road.
the mosque is characterized by its traditional Chinese-style architecture and serene ambiance. Marvel at the intricately carved wooden beams, colorful glazed tiles, and graceful archways that adorn the structures. The peaceful courtyard and tranquil gardens create a serene atmosphere for contemplation and reflection.
Drive back to the hotel then, the rest of day will be at your own leisure.

Plan 2 to 3 days to explore the main attractions of Xi’an. However, if you want to delve deeper into its history and visit nearby sites, consider extending your stay.

Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) offer pleasant weather and fewer crowds.
Summer (June to August) can be hot and humid, while winter (December to February) can be cold, but the city is less crowded during these seasons.

Terracotta Army: Explore the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.
City Walls: Walk or cycle along the ancient city walls, which encircle the city center and offer panoramic views of Xi’an.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda: Visit this ancient Buddhist pagoda, which dates back to the Tang Dynasty, and enjoy its beautiful surroundings.
