Welcome to Beijing, the iconic capital city of China! Upon your arrival at Beijing Airport, our local tour guide will meet you at the arrival hall and accompany you to your downtown hotel in a private comfortable vehicle. The remainder of the day is yours to relax. If you wish to explore nearby areas, feel free to ask your tour guide for some practical suggestions.

  • Our guide and driver will meet you after breakfast. embark on a journey through Beijing's historical landmarks. Begin with a brief visit to Tiananmen Square, now the world's largest city plaza. Tiananmen Gate, situated on its northern side, was where Chairman Mao declared the establishment of the People's Republic of China.
  • Enter through Tiananmen into the Forbidden City, one of the globe's top five palaces. This immense complex, boasting over 9,000 rooms, housed 24 Ming and Qing Dynasty emperors. Pass through ornate doorways to marvel at its well-preserved buildings adorned with yellow glazed tile roofs, white marble bases, and vibrant paintings.
  • After exploring the Forbidden City, enjoy a brief visit to Jingshan Park for a picturesque view of the Forbidden City's watchtowers and a panoramic vista. In the afternoon, drive 40 minutes to the outskirts of Beijing for a delightful visit to the Summer Palace, China's largest and best-preserved imperial garden. Wander among ancient pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges, and corridors. Admire the expansive lotus-filled Kunming Lake and the vivid paintings in the Long Corridor.

Ascend the wall via cable car and hike its most picturesque stretch, offering stunning views and perfect photo opportunities along the mountain ridges. Afterward, descend by cable car (hiking is optional for the energetic).

  • After breakfast, drive 40 km to explore the extraordinary Terracotta Warriors and Horses, a marvel crafted by China's first emperor, Qin Shihuang, to safeguard him in the afterlife. Discovered in 1974 by a local farmer after over 2,000 years underground, these 8,000 life-size figures depict a complete ancient military formation, showcasing remarkable artistic prowess and the ambition of Emperor Qin Shihuang. Before visiting the museum, enjoy a unique opportunity to craft a miniature Terracotta Warrior with guidance from a local potter.
  • After lunch, return to Xi'an to visit Da Cien Temple, a renowned site for translating Buddhist scriptures during the Tang Dynasty. Within the temple stands the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built by the famous monk Xuanzang to house scriptures he brought back from India. You can opt to ascend the pagoda for an additional fee.

Spanning 84 kilometers, enjoy scenes resembling a vast Chinese painting: winding rivers, verdant karst mountains, and tranquil countryside.
  • After the 4-hour cruise, arrive in Yangshuo Town, check into your hotel for a brief rest, and soak in the stunning countryside views. Admire rice paddies nestled among green hills and along the mirrored river, where farmers cultivate the land with water buffaloes. In the evening, wander along historic West Street to experience the blend of Western and Chinese cultures. Whether savoring local cuisine, enjoying a drink at a bar, or simply taking in the relaxed atmosphere, immerse yourself in this cultural crossroads.

  • Then, drive 7 kilometers to the Reed Flute Cave, a stunning underground palace adorned with sparkling stalactites, stalagmites, and stone waterfalls formed over millions of years by nature. Finally, your guide will escort you to the airport for your flight to Zhangjiajie (1.5-2 hrs). Upon arrival, you'll be greeted at Zhangjiajie Airport and transferred to your downtown hotel.
  • Please note: Flights from Guilin to Zhangjiajie are limited, especially in the off-season, and may be frequently canceled. If flights are unavailable, you have two options:
    (1) Take a direct bullet train from Guilin to Zhangjiajie, which takes about 7.5 hours with two daily trains available;
    (2) Travel by bullet train to Changsha first, then transfer to Zhangjiajie, typically taking between 6.5 to 8 hours with multiple trains daily.
    Your choice will depend on practical considerations. For detailed options and train schedules, please consult our travel expert when booking your tour.

  • Transfer to Tianmen Mountain and take the world's longest cableway, stretching 7,455 meters from downtown Zhangjiajie to the peak over 1,400 meters above sea level. Enjoy stunning views through the glass floor as you ascend. Ride the Forest Sightseeing Cable Car to Tianmen Temple, dating back to the Tang Dynasty and housing Buddha relics.
  • Explore the temple's Qing Dynasty architecture surrounded by lush forests. Experience two thrilling cliff walks: the 60-meter-long Glass Skywalk suspended 1,430 meters above the valley, offering a surreal experience; and the 1,600-meter-long Ghost-Valley Plank Road hanging on the cliff's edge. Descend to Tianmen Cave via escalator, a natural wonder 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide, and 60 meters deep. Descend the super steep 999-step staircase, reaching a 45° incline, traditionally used by worshippers visiting Tianmen Cave. Conclude with a cable car descent from the mountain.
