- Today, we will take a private transfer in the morning for about a 2-hour drive to Mount Huashan. Upon arrival, we'll take the cable car to ascend to the West Peak, which sits at an impressive elevation of 2,086.6 meters (6,845 feet) above sea level.
- During the 20-minute cable car ride to West Peak, you'll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The cable car spans a distance of about 4,211 meters and climbs an elevation of 894 meters. As you ascend, you'll see the rugged mountain terrain unfold beneath you, with steep cliffs, lush valleys, and the other peaks of Mount Huashan coming into view.
- Once at the top, we'll enjoy hiking along the mountain ridges. The trail between the peaks offers stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape. You'll traverse narrow paths carved into the mountainside, some with sheer drops on either side, providing an exhilarating experience. Along the way, you'll pass ancient Taoist temples, see intricately carved inscriptions in the rock face, and have the opportunity to attach a lock to the mountain as a symbol of your journey.
- The hike will take us to various viewpoints, including the famous South Peak (the highest at 2,154.9 meters), and the East Peak, known for its sunrise views. Throughout the hike, you'll be surrounded by the raw beauty of Mount Huashan, with its granite cliffs, twisted pines, and, if we're lucky, a sea of clouds below.
- Upon reaching the North Peak, also known as Cloud Terrace Peak, at an elevation of 1,614 meters (5,295 feet), we'll take the cable car to descend. This 10-minute ride offers a final chance to take in the mountain's majestic scenery.
After our descent, we'll drive back to your hotel in Xi'an, concluding our adventurous day at Mount Huashan.
