Welcome to Beijing! Your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Take some time to relax before your journey. If you have energy, explore the nearby streets or try some local food.
Your day in Beijing starts at Tiananmen Square, the city's central landmark. Walk around the vast square, see the Monument to the People's Heroes, and hear its history from your guide. Next, visit the Palace Museum, also called the Forbidden City. This former imperial palace showcases grand halls, intricate courtyards, and countless cultural relics. Admire the yellow-glazed rooftops and learn about China’s emperors and their history. In the afternoon, explore Beijing’s Hutongs. Ride a rickshaw through the narrow alleys, passing courtyard homes and lively markets. You can also join a calligraphy class or a tea ceremony (optional).
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before visiting the Temple of Heaven, a stunning example of Chinese architecture. Stroll through the park, watch locals practicing Tai Chi, and learn about the ancient ceremonies held here. Next, head to the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved sections. Walk along its majestic walls, explore the watchtowers, and take in the breathtaking mountain views. You can hike up or take a cable car to the top for a stunning panorama. Spend your morning exploring the stunning Summer Palace, a vast imperial garden that shines in every season. Wander through elegant pavilions, stroll along peaceful pathways, and enjoy the scenic beauty of Kunming Lake. You can also take an optional boat ride for a different view of the palace. Shape the clay, create a unique piece, and take home a special souvenir from this hands-on experience.
