The ideal time is spring (March-May) or autumn (September-November) when temperatures are mild (15-25°C/59-77°F). Chengdu’s pandas are most active in cooler weather, avoid extreme summer heat (over 35°C/95°F) or winter chills (below -10°C/14°F). Spring also offers blooming landscapes, while autumn provides clear skies for photography. Avoid July-August crowds and China’s National Week (October 1–7).
