Upon arrival at Beijing Airport, your guide will warmly greet you and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to unwind, explore the local area, or recover from jetlag. Start your journey by meeting your guide at the hotel lobby, then head to the historic Tian’anmen Square, one of the world’s largest public spaces. After passing through the grand central gate of the Tiananmen Rostrum, you’ll enter the majestic Forbidden City, home to the Chinese emperors for over 500 years. As you stroll along the central axis, your guide will reveal lesser-known tales of influential figures from the Ming and Qing dynasties, offering a deeper connection to the imperial history.
After a delicious lunch, visit the serene Temple of Heaven, where emperors once performed sacred rituals to ensure good harvests. The peaceful surroundings provide a perfect ending to your day of exploration in Beijing.

In the morning, take a rickshaw ride through the charming old hutong area with your guide. As you journey through the narrow, winding alleys, you’ll pass traditional grey-brick courtyard houses and experience the vibrant street life of the neighbourhood. The rickshaw will weave through bustling lanes, where local markets and vendors add to the lively atmosphere. Visit a local family’s home to get an authentic glimpse of life in this historic area, where you’ll hear fascinating stories of Beijing’s past.
After your exploration, your guide will assist with your luggage and transfer you to the train station or airport for your onward journey.
B, L
For a quick getaway from Beijing, consider visiting Badaling to see the Great Wall, or head to Datong to explore the ancient Yungang Grottoes. Shijiazhuang offers a glimpse of natural beauty at the Cangyan Mountain. Qinhuangdao, located on the coast, is perfect for a beach retreat. For cultural immersion, visit Luoyang, home to the Longmen Grottoes and ancient temples. These destinations are all within a few hours' travel from Beijing, offering diverse experiences.
In Beijing, some must-try dishes include Peking Duck, known for its crispy skin and tender meat. Zha Jiang Mian (noodles with soybean paste), Baozi (steamed buns), and Jianbing (savory Chinese crepes) are also popular street foods. For a unique local snack, try Chuan’r (skewered grilled meat). Each dish offers a delicious taste of Beijing's culinary traditions and vibrant food scene.
