When you arrive at Chengdu airport or train station, our local driver will be waiting at the exit with a sign showing your name. We will take you to your hotel in the city centre and help with check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your own pace.

Stay in Chengdu
Begin your Chengdu tour with a visit to the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, renowned for its efforts in panda conservation. Watch the adorable pandas eating, playing, and resting as your guide shares fascinating facts and helps you capture the perfect photos.
After lunch, take a scenic 2-hour drive to see the Leshan Giant Buddha. This 1,300-year-old statue, carved into a cliff face, is the tallest stone Buddha in the world. Climb the steps to the top for breathtaking views of the area. You can choose to hike up the mountain or take a river cruise for a distant view of the statue. The hike is included, but if you prefer the cruise—or both—simply let your guide know.

Stay in Chengdu
In the morning, board a high-speed train from Chengdu to Chongqing. Upon arrival, your English-speaking guide and driver will meet you at the train station.
After lunch, begin your exploration with a visit to Ciqikou Ancient Town, a historic area dating back to the Song Dynasty. Once a bustling port along the Jialing River, today its stone streets are filled with cultural activities like Sichuan Opera and local crafts, offering a glimpse into Chongqing’s rich heritage.
In the evening, head to the Monument to the People’s Liberation, a landmark built in 1946 to honour China’s victory in the anti-Fascist war. Situated in the heart of Jiefangbei’s commercial district, it remains one of the city’s most iconic symbols.

Stay in Chongqing
Today, continue exploring the highlights of Chongqing. Start with a visit to the Museum of General Joseph Stilwell. Located in his former residence, the museum showcases his personal items, manuscripts, and army uniform, reflecting his role in the anti-Fascist war and the China-US friendship.
Next, head to E’ling Park for a panoramic view of the city and the Jialing and Yangtze Rivers. Positioned on the highest point of Chongqing, the park offers stunning views, especially during sunrise or sunset.
Then, visit Hongya Cave, famous for its stilted buildings leaning against the cliffs. The architecture blends local culture with the natural landscape, and it’s particularly magical when illuminated at night.
Afterward, head to Liziba Station to witness the unique sight of Chongqing’s light rail passing through a residential building. It’s a fascinating scene that’s perfect for videos.
Finally, your tour ends with a drop-off at Chongqing airport, train station, or cruise port for your departure.

During the tour, you will travel from Chengdu to Chongqing by high-speed train, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. The ticket is included in the package, and your guide will assist you with the transfer.
Yes, you can choose to take a river cruise for a panoramic view of the Leshan Giant Buddha instead of hiking. The hike is included in the tour package, but if you prefer the cruise, just let your guide know. Additional fees may apply.

We enjoy the tour, see many places. Food was also tasty but no time for shopping much. But it is good because the tour arrranged really did not put any unnecessary shopping tours. Maybe next time for proper shopping!
