Take a cable car up to the wall, and enjoy a relaxed walk along this less-visited stretch. The view from here is stunning—green hills and rugged peaks surround you, with the wall stretching out like a giant serpent across the landscape. For the more energetic, you can hike to some of the watchtowers and enjoy panoramic views.
Next, head to the Sacred Way, a 7km path leading to the Ming Dynasty Imperial Tombs. Walk along this tranquil avenue, flanked by impressive stone statues of animals and officials. It’s a peaceful spot to enjoy China’s ancient imperial history.
On the way back to Beijing, you’ll make a quick stop at a tea house. Relax with a refreshing cup of jasmine tea, a traditional Chinese drink that perfectly complements the calm atmosphere. Afterward, return to your hotel in Beijing for a well-earned rest.

After breakfast, we’ll set off on a 40-kilometre drive to one of China’s most extraordinary sights: the Terracotta Warriors. These incredible life-size statues were created by China’s first emperor, Qin Shihuang, to protect him in the afterlife. After you explore the museum, enjoy a special hands-on experience – craft your own miniature Terracotta Warrior with a local potter guiding you.
After lunch, we’ll return to Xi’an, where you’ll visit Da Cien Temple. This historical temple was central to translating Buddhist scriptures during the Tang Dynasty. Here, you’ll find the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built by the famous monk Xuanzang. It housed the scriptures he brought back from India. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can climb the pagoda for stunning views of the surrounding area (small additional fee). Next, get a feel for ancient China by trying on Hanfu, the traditional attire of Chinese nobility. Capture a beautiful photo as you step into the past and wear these elegant robes.
In the evening, we’ll head to the Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City. This modern recreation, lit up beautifully at night, transports you back to the splendour of the Tang Dynasty. It’s the perfect spot to take in the magical atmosphere and learn about Xi’an’s rich history.
