Arrive in Luoyang around noon. Our English-speaking guide will greet you at the railway station and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Enjoy a local lunch, which may include Luoyang Water Banquet with a variety of dishes or jiaozi (dumplings).
In the afternoon, visit Longmen Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The site is located along the Yi River and has over 2,300 caves and 100,000 statues. Our guide will explain the history behind the stunning Buddhist carvings. Walk through the caves and admire the detailed sculptures. After the visit, return to the hotel to relax and reflect on the day’s experience.

Your second day in Luoyang begins with a warm greeting from your private guide. After a delicious breakfast, relax in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle as your guide takes you on a scenic drive to White Horse Temple—China’s first Buddhist temple.
As you approach the temple, you’ll be greeted by serene courtyards, ancient pagodas, and the sounds of chanting monks. This sacred site is rich in history and spirituality, having been established over 1,900 years ago. Wander through its tranquil halls, explore the beautiful gardens, and learn about the temple’s important role in spreading Buddhism across China.
Afterward, continue your journey to the Museum of Zhou Dynasty Royal Chariots & Horses Vault. This unique museum showcases remarkable archaeological discoveries, including ancient royal chariots, horses, and other artefacts from the Zhou Dynasty. As you walk through the exhibits, your guide will explain the historical significance of these treasures, offering insight into the grandeur of China’s ancient royal life.
With a day filled with history, culture, and fascinating discoveries, your guide will take you back to your hotel. For the dinner, whether you’re in the mood for a steaming bowl of Luoyang Water Banquet or a plate of fragrant hand-pulled noodles, your guide will lead you to the best local restaurants to finish your day with authentic flavours.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we’ll embark on a scenic 2-hour drive to the legendary Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng City. As the birthplace of Shaolin Kung Fu, this temple is famous for its impressive architecture and rich cultural history.
Upon arrival, explore the main halls, including the Hall of Heavenly Kings and the Grand Hall, and discover the temple’s profound influence on Chinese martial arts. Be amazed by a thrilling Kung Fu performance, where the temple’s monks demonstrate their incredible skills and dedication. For those keen on an interactive experience, there’s a chance to take a short Kung Fu lesson at a nearby martial arts school.
After a satisfying lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll take you to Luoyang Railway Station for your departure. If you prefer, we can arrange transportation to Zhengzhou Airport or Railway Station, located around 90 kilometers away, ensuring your travel is smooth and convenient.

Luoyang’s cuisine is known for its bold flavours and variety. The famous Luoyang Water Banquet offers multiple courses with local ingredients. Other local dishes include Yunlong Mian (sliced noodles) and braised chicken with mushrooms. Street food like crispy fried dough sticks and dumplings adds to the vibrant food scene, reflecting the city’s rich culinary heritage.
