Today, prepare for an inspiring journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Xinjiang, a land blessed with extraordinary natural beauty. Your first destination is the magnificent Heavenly Lake (Tianchi), a sparkling emerald jewel nestled high in the Tianshan Mountains. Sitting at an altitude of 1,980 metres, the lake is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and lush alpine forests, creating a peaceful and almost otherworldly atmosphere.
As you stroll along the lake’s serene shores, take a moment to appreciate the fresh mountain air and the stunning reflections of the towering mountains on clear days. This is the perfect place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with nature.
During your visit, you’ll also hear the captivating legend of the Queen Mother of the West, who, according to ancient tales, hosted a royal banquet by the lake for King Mu of Zhou. This story adds a layer of cultural richness to the already awe-inspiring setting.
After a day of spiritual and scenic fulfilment, your driver will escort you to your hotel in Fuyun, where you can enjoy halal-friendly amenities and a peaceful evening of rest, ready to continue your Xinjiang adventure tomorrow.

After enjoying a halal breakfast, begin your journey to Koktokay National Geological Park. Although Koktokay is not by the sea, its breathtaking beauty rivals any coastal paradise. In Mongolian, “Koktokay” means “blue river bay,” perfectly describing its serene landscapes. This world-class geological park is also famous for its rich natural minerals.
Hop on the eco-friendly shuttle bus and travel deep into the park. Along the way, admire the lush birch and conifer forests, and follow the sparkling Ertis River as it winds gracefully through the valley. This beautiful area is home to the Kazakh Muslim community, offering a glimpse into their vibrant culture and traditions.
After a halal lunch, continue towards Burqin and visit the stunning Five-Colored Beach. Renowned as the most spectacular Yadan landform in Xinjiang, this colourful landscape is a masterpiece shaped by nature. The Ertis River splits the beach into two distinct sections: the south bank reveals a lush oasis, the magnificent Gurbantunggut Desert, and the endless blue sky meeting the golden sands in the distance.
After your visit, check into your hotel in Burqin. Enjoy a hearty Xinjiang-style halal dinner, savour the flavours of local Muslim cuisine, and relax in comfort for the evening.

Its clear, tranquil waters offer a refreshing retreat for the soul.
The park is a stunning blend of soaring mountains, winding rivers, ancient forests, serene lakes, and lush grasslands. It is also home to a Tuva village, where you can experience the unique traditions of a Mongolian Muslim community. You’ll take a scenic shuttle bus ride to some of the most beautiful spots, including Immortal Bay, Dragon Bay, and Moon Bay, perfect for admiring and capturing unforgettable views.

After a halal breakfast, we journey to Hemu Village, often praised as “God’s Backyard” and a true “Pure Land” of China. Surrounded by peaceful scenery, the village feels like stepping into a serene and untouched world created by the Almighty. You’ll see smoke curling from chimneys, herds of sheep grazing across the grasslands, and shepherds peacefully guiding their flocks home. Hemu Village is home to the Tuva people, an ethnic minority who have carefully preserved their traditions and way of life. The landscape is simply breathtaking — untouched mountains, sparkling rivers, vast birch forests, snow-capped peaks, and endless grasslands stretch beneath a brilliant blue sky.
While exploring the village, you may hear the hauntingly beautiful sounds of throat singing, a unique and traditional art form of the Tuva people. It’s an authentic experience offering a deeper glimpse into their rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

After enjoying a hearty halal breakfast, we set off to explore the famous Urho Ghost City, an extraordinary showcase of Xinjiang’s unique Yadan landforms. This dramatic landscape feels almost otherworldly. Over time, strong winds and rainfall have sculpted the once-flat desert into towering spires and broad rocky platforms.
As you stroll through the area, the silence of the desert is pierced by the powerful winds. During summer and autumn, the gusts can reach levels 7–8, sweeping through the canyons with sand and dust. The sound of the wind whistling through the formations creates an atmosphere so haunting that locals named it “Ghost City.”
The scene is raw, majestic, and unforgettable — with towering stone formations shaped by nature, resembling ancient ruins from a forgotten civilisation. Walking through this vast, wind-carved landscape feels like stepping into a timeless world, far from the busyness of modern life.
After exploring the breathtaking Ghost City, your local Muslim-friendly driver will transfer you comfortably to your hotel in Kuitun, a journey of around 3 hours, ensuring you have time to rest and prepare for the next day’s halal-friendly adventures.

Today, we journey towards the stunning Sayram Lake, often called the “Last Tear of the Atlantic.” The drive, about 3.5 hours long, takes us through the majestic western Tianshan Mountains, a region steeped in natural beauty and rich in Muslim cultural heritage. Sayram Lake is divided into several areas: a peaceful lakeside zone, open grasslands that reflect the traditional nomadic lifestyle, and a serene bird sanctuary where swans and rare species thrive. As you stroll along the lake’s shores, you’ll be refreshed by the pure mountain air and the sweeping views that feel endless under the vast sky.
After experiencing the lake’s calm and beauty, we continue our journey to Yining. Along the way, we’ll pass the remarkable Guozigou Bridge, an engineering marvel that stretches across the scenic Guozigou Valley like a giant dragon — a truly breathtaking sight. After enjoying a halal breakfast, we begin our journey to the beautiful Nalati Grassland, a stunning high-altitude meadow known for its breathtaking natural beauty and deep ties to Kazakh Muslim culture. Upon arrival, we take a shuttle bus that brings us deeper into the heart of this vast landscape.
As you step off the bus, you’re greeted by endless stretches of green fields under a bright blue sky, with soft, white clouds floating gently overhead and majestic mountains rising in the distance. Traditional Kazakh yurts—symbols of the local Muslim nomadic lifestyle—and wooden cabins dot the landscape, creating a serene and authentic atmosphere.
Herds of sheep and cattle roam freely, resembling scattered clouds across the grassland, a scene straight out of a peaceful pastoral painting. The scent of fresh grass, the cool breeze, and the quiet surroundings offer a sense of tranquillity and reflection.
After taking your time to explore and experience the calm of Nalati Grassland, we return to Yining, where you can relax and unwind at your hotel, preparing for the next day of discovery.

Today’s journey covers a longer distance, but promises unforgettable scenery. After enjoying a halal breakfast at the hotel, we set off towards the magnificent Dushanzi Grand Canyon. Stretching 100 to 400 metres wide at its base and expanding to 800 to 1000 metres across its shoulders, the canyon rises 200 metres from the riverbed to the top, at an elevation of 1070 metres. Over millions of years, the river has carved its way through the sloping plains of the Tianshan Mountains, creating a landscape of striking contrasts—rivers weaving through rugged cliffs and endless grasslands stretching beyond. The scene is so stunning, it almost feels surreal.
Often called the “Duku Secret Realm, a million-year miracle,” Dushanzi Grand Canyon offers thrilling experiences such as a glass bridge and a cliff swing. For those seeking an extra sense of wonder, walking across the glass bridge and looking down into the deep canyon is an unforgettable highlight, combining the beauty of nature with a touch of adventure—all within a family-friendly and modest environment.
After immersing ourselves in this breathtaking natural wonder, we continue our drive to Kuitun, where you will stay overnight. Halal dining options will be arranged to ensure your comfort and peace of mind throughout the journey.

It stands as a prominent symbol of Xinjiang’s Muslim heritage and is often referred to as “the window to Xinjiang,” “the window to Central Asia,” and “the window to the world.” A must-see for visitors, the bazaar offers an exciting mix of sightseeing, shopping, and halal dining options, making it the perfect place for exploring local products, enjoying traditional foods, and experiencing a wide variety of entertainment.
