Upon arrival in Urumqi, the local driver will welcome to you at the airport and transfer to your hotel in the city center. Once checked in, take the rest of the day to relax or head out for a casual walk. Urumqi’s bustling streets offer a great first glimpse into the region’s vibrant local life.

You’ll spend the day journeying through the vast and ever-changing landscapes of Southern Xinjiang, where desert plains meet distant mountains. After breakfast, set off on a scenic drive toward Bosten Lake, the largest inland freshwater lake in China. Along the way, enjoy views of wide-open grasslands, shimmering salt flats, and traditional Uyghur villages. Upon arrival at Bosten Lake, take time to admire the tranquil beauty of its crystal-clear waters mirroring the sky.
Continue your drive to Korla, a peaceful oasis city. By evening, settle into your hotel and soak up the laid-back atmosphere after a rewarding day of exploration. -
Leave Korla in the morning and begin your scenic drive to Kuqa, a culturally rich town approximately 350 kilometers away, once an important stop on the ancient Silk Road. After exploring the canyon, continue to Baicheng County to visit the Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves—one of the oldest Buddhist cave complexes in China. Marvel at its well-preserved murals and sculptures dating back to the 4th to 9th centuries.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 468 km drive (about 5.5 hours) to Kashgar, a legendary Silk Road city with more than 2,000 years of history.
