Day-by-day travel plan

  • Upon arrival in Chongqing, your guide and driver will meet you at airport and lead you to the Liziba Station, where the light rail famously threads through a residential building—perfect for photos. Then you will explore the bustling Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, full of shops and street food.

    As night falls, wander Hongya Cave‘s vibrant stilted buildings and snack streets, soaking in river views. Between 18:00 and 20:00, we check in at Chaotianmen Dock to board our Yangtze River cruise.

  • After breakfast, start the morning with a calming Tai Chi session on deck, syncing your breath with the river’s flow. Over coffee, a fascinating talk reveals the Yangtze’s rich history. In the afternoon, dock at Shibaozhai Pagoda, a stunning 12-story wooden marvel clinging to the cliffside. You will climb through its ancient halls, including the 400-year-old Hall of Heavenly Kings, before enjoying a warm welcome banquet onboard.

  • Today, you will sail through the breathtaking landscapes of the Qutang, Wu, and Xiling Gorges, where sheer cliffs and mist-covered peaks rise dramatically along the riverbanks. Hop aboard a smaller boat for an intimate excursion into Shennv Stream, where you can enjoy tranquil waters and discover the traditions of local communities. If you’re interested in history, you may also choose to visit White Emperor City for sweeping views and cultural insight. In the evening, join fellow travelers for the Captain’s Farewell Party, a cheerful celebration to mark the final night of your Yangtze River cruise.

  • You will check out and disembark at Maoping Port. Your guide will take you to the Three Gorges Dam, where you can climb Tanzi Ridge for panoramic views and visit the 185 Viewpoint for a closer look. Following the tour, take a bus to Yichang’s Cruise Terminal and your driver will escort you to the airport for your departure.

    A smooth Chongqing experience

    I had a great experience on my Chongqing tour booked through JustChinaTours. Everything went smoothly.     Amazing travel experience!

    great value and amazing scenery

    The views at Wulong Karst were some of the best I’ve ever seen. Our guide made sure we didn’t miss anything and even helped us try local snacks at Ciqikou. Everything was clean, safe, and professional. I’d gladly book again with JuctChinaTours for another China trip.
