Best Time to Visit Beijing

The best time to visit Beijing is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months.

Beijing experiences distinct seasonal changes. Summers can be hot and humid, with temperatures soaring above 30℃, making outdoor activities feel exhausting, especially in the city. Winter brings the cold, with temperatures dipping to -10℃, but the crisp air and clear skies make it a great time for sightseeing. Autumn, however, is a standout-offering cool temperatures and stunning fall colors at spots like Summer Palace and the Great Wall. Spring brings pleasant warmth and a burst of color, with flowers blooming throughout the city. For those who prefer a quieter experience and more moderate weather, visiting Beijing during these seasons is an excellent option.

It’s worth noting that Beijing has a lot of tourists no matter what time of year you visit, especially during major festivals.
